Featured Cat

Miss Lanie has been with us since last November, so she is ready to enjoy a new home this spring!  She is a 2 to 3 year

old grey tabby DSH.  She is very quiet and loves to lay around on blankets.  She does alright with cats that are a bit

reserved like her.  We think Lanie would do alright with older children.

Saturday, 4/19/14, 10:00 a.m. - We should have phone service back on today. Doing some electrical work in connection with the construction, so phone/electricity will be off again Monday for a while. Thank you for your patience.

Approximately 4 year old male DSH.  He came in as a stray. He's a little timid at first but once he warms up to you he's a lovable, sweet guy! Seems to do well with the other cats when they hop into his kennel to try snuggling with him. He really likes his cat treats. He;s still trying to adjust to the shelter so he hasn't came out of his kennel much to play and interact with the other cats.

3 to 4 year old female who is very shy and timid.  She has been here almost 2 months and she still hides in her blanket.  She will come out and play but if we catch her playing, she scurries back under her blanket.  She would do best in a quiet home with no young children.  She is friends with Lucy and seems to really enjoy her company!

Young male grey tabby DSH. Mr. Milo is learning to adjust to being here and has come a long way.  He has really come out of his shell!  Once you enter the cat room, there he is, asking for attention.  Once he gets into his own home, he will do just fine.  He has lived with cats and a dog and did fine with that.  Milo is a very quiet cat; you hardly know he is here!

DSH orange Tabby.  She is younger (uncertain on age yet) and won't be ready for adoption for a few weeks.  She seems very friendly.  We do not know about other cats at this point or dogs.  She came to us as a stray so we are still trying to learn more about her.

5 to 7 year old DSH sleek black kitty.  Fancy is pretty social and enjoys playing.  She lived with other cats and a dog and would do very well with either.  Fancy is a very quiet cat, hardly ever meows!  She is such a lover!

5 to 6 year old male DMH.  He is so beautiful!  Like his buddy, Milo, he has really come out of his shell.  He enjoys the company of other cats and lived with a dog.  We think that once he gets into a quieter home, he will adjust and come around nicely.  Phil is a very quiet cat and is very low maintenance!

5 to 7 year old black DSH.  She was left behind in a home with Bianca.  Madge is front declawed.  She enjoys sitting in our windows and watching the birds come and go out of our trees.  She can get spooked easily but we think that it is still an adjustment for her.  Like Bianca, Madge enjoys playing with all of our kitties here at the shelter.  Madge is also a lot of luv.....17 lbs of luv!!!!!  She is more of a lap kitty.  She just craves the human touch and will turn herself inside out when you pet her!

5 to 7 year old grey tabby DSH.  She was left behind in a home with who we think is her sister, Madge.  Bianca weighs in at almost 20lbs but she is in good health.  She is front declawed.  She is such a lover and enjoys laying in the sun catching some rays!  Bianca likes being around all of our other cats but she is quite spooked if a dog comes walking by!  She has such beautiful markings.  Bianca likes to do her own thing but still likes to get her attention.

Lola is approximately 6 years old. She is a unique cat with extra toes! She would do best in a quiet environment. She is such a sweet girl, it just takes her awhile to come out of her "shy shell". She hardly meows but when she does....she does it to be heard! Lola is such a beautiful cat with warm eyes that just melt your heart!

Charlie is a male DSH brown tabby with a white chin. He's about 5 or 6 months old. Came in with his sister Tessa. She has been adopted, so he's really ready for a new home! Very sweet, very playful, and would rather be cuddled up with a human than play with his toys.

Approximately 2 year old orange tabby DSH.  We found her outside our shelter this winter, frozen to the ground.  She has frostbite on her ears, feet, and back leg.  Her tail was badly frostbitten and we had to remove part of it at the time of spaying.  She is one of the favorites out here.  She has such a personality and is a spunky little thing.  She is not fond of our other cats yet but she will love up on the human forever!  She is also learning her balance as her tail helped her with that, so she walks a little differently. She should adjust just fine in time!

Captain Jack

Captain Jack is our little "bull".  He is an extremely thick skinned boy!  Captain Jack (CJ) is a lover but would do best with no kids and a quiet household.  He would really like to find his forever home.  CJ is middle aged and needs a warm bed to lay in and someone with patience for him.

3 to 4 year old female black DSH.  She lived with other cats and a dog.  She can be a bit shy at first but she will warm up after time.  Trisha loves to hang out in boxes...and sleep in them too!  She enjoys the company of other cats and would do best with older kids.

Nemo is 8 years old and she is something special!  She is a fur ball and loves attention.  She seems to do alright with the kittens that she is sharing a room with.  Nemo is front declawed and she is a talker!  She does not do well with younger children....as she likes to keep things on her terms!  What a beautiful girl!
