Featured Cat

5 to 7 year old black DSH.  She was left behind in a home with Bianca.  Madge is front declawed.  She enjoys sitting in our windows and watching the birds come and go out of our trees.  She can get spooked easily but we think that it is still an adjustment for her.  Like Bianca, Madge enjoys playing with all of our kitties here at the shelter.  Madge is also a lot of luv.....17 lbs of luv!!!!!  She is more of a lap kitty.  She just craves the human touch and will turn herself inside out when you pet her!

Angel is the more brown and grey tabby. She enjoys snuggling with any cat that will let her. Angel loves to explore the room and work her way up the stacker to the window and watch the birds and dogs outside. She is such a pretty kitten and she is so very soft!

Junior is our 3 month old little monster! He is such a fun little kitten and he is afraid of nothing. He is always looking for trouble and seems to find it one way or the other. He enjoys playing with other cats and kittens and enjoys when kids come to play with him. He has the really cool classic tabby coat with the black swirls. He is such a sweet kitty and he would love nothing more than to be in his new forever home.

Mr. Boo is a 3 month old grey tabby, and he is ready for his new home. He likes to play with all other cats and doesn't seem to be afraid of much. He thinks that he is King Tut most of the time. Boo likes to be held and does very well with kids. He doesn't seem to mind the dogs walking by the room so we think that he would make the adjustment if there was a dog in the home.

Bretta is a female white and grey tabby who is just learning how to act around other cats. She is a quick learner, though, and is doing great! She loves to have her back scratched and check things out around the room. She would do well in just about any home. Come see this pretty girl and she just might steal your heart!

Leah is a DSH torti....she came to us as a stray and is a bit timid. We believe that she is approx. 2 years old. She is learning to get along with other cats here but we think she would like a quiet home with older children. Leah does like attention but it takes her time to warm up to you!

3 to 5 year old grey female DSH tabby.  She is such a pretty kitty!  She sort of enjoys the company of Phil but we think she finds him kind of boring, ha ha.  She would do good with kids and with other cats.  She likes to be adventurous and check things out and she doesn't seem to be afraid of much!  Very sweet little gal.  She is a small-framed cat. She would adjust well to just about any household!

5 to 7 year old DSH sleek black kitty.  Fancy is pretty social and enjoys playing.  She lived with other cats and a dog and would do very well with either.  Fancy is a very quiet cat, hardly ever meows!  She is such a lover!

Young DSH orange Tabby. She seems very friendly.  We do not know about other cats at this point or dogs.  She will most likely be ok with other cats, but a slow introduction would be best.

1 year old DSH grey tabby. He was surrendered to us as one of the young children got severe allergies from him. He is very sociable and loves to rub all over on you. Peyton loves, loves, loves to play with children and he will keep them entertained for as long as they allow him to. Very easygoing, playful cat!

Jill is 3 to 5 years old. She was a house cat that was surrendered to us due to unforeseen circumstances. Jill did live with a dog and kids but would fight with the dog and keep a big distance from the kids. Getting to know her here, we think that she would be most happy in a home as an only pet. She does not like to be picked up and carried around at all. Jill likes everything to be on her terms and she wants what she wants when she wants it! No ifs, ands, or buts about it! One thing that we have noticed is that Jill will turn herself inside and out for some wet food or treats! So, if you want to stay in her good graces, keep that on hand at all times!!

Gracie is a younger female.  She is the momma to the 3 little black kitties we have here.  She was found as a stray and we think that she had been a stray for most of her life.  She is learning to trust the human and is getting better with us interacting with her.  She likes to watch all the other cats play but she hasn't quite decided yet if she wants to make friends with any of them.  We think for now, she would do best in a home with older children and possibly a more quiet home.
